Allison Gaw is an experienced life science and drug development business professional with 15+ years in business development and strategy, commercial market research, data and financial analytics, and start-up operations and project management. Currently she is a Principal at Amplitude Ventures, driving investments in precision medicine technologies from Canada and the US, and advising strategic planning and business development for portfolio companies. Previously, she was the VP of Business Development at Chinook Therapeutics (acquired by Novartis) and held senior roles in Business Development, IP, and Corporate Strategy at Sierra Oncology (acquired by GSK) and Arbutus Biopharma (NASDAQ: ABUS; formerly Tekmira) in Vancouver BC. Before moving to Vancouver in 2013, Allison was a consultant for numerous life science healthcare clients on the West Coast (US) while at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and LEK Consulting. Allison has a B.S. and an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and an MBA in Health Care Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
